Spanish Thrillers

Spain is an often under-appreciated source of cinematic genius. Odds are that you know Pan’s Labyrinthbut there’s so many other amazing offers for you from the largest piece of the Iberian Peninsula. Thankfully, director Richard Keaney is continuing his trip around the world to discuss great entry points into world cinema, focusing on five nerve-frying thrillers.

You know this by now: Thrillers are a universal language in film. Tension and thrills go beyond cultural barriers. They tap into an animalistic feeling inside us all. We all know that most people stay away from foreign film, but with these feelings at the core of each film, the language barrier will NOT be a problem.
