In October of 2016, I created MovieBabble to share my love for film with willing readers. At MovieBabble, the motto is “The Casual Way To Discuss Movies.” This does not mean that we take film criticism lightly. Quite the contrary! Our primary goal is to provide long-form pieces discussing film that are meant to both inform and entertain. By “casual”, we mean that we wish to provide an entertainingly eclectic perspective of all things film. Above all else, we value creativity and distinctive points of view, where our writers have the freedom to tackle topics as they see fit.
We pride ourselves on creating unique, fun, in-depth, and passionate critiques of films of all kinds from all time periods. As previously alluded to, MovieBabble is a place where writers are offered immense freedom to share their passions and insight with you. Our writing staff consists of individuals from all over the world, from Washington, D.C. to Australia and everywhere in between! So while there are thousands upon thousands of people on the internet discussing film, we put our people first, so there’s a pretty great chance that MovieBabble will provide a distinctive perspective on the movies you love…and even the movies you hate.
MovieBabble is always listening to its readers. So, if you have some thoughts on a post or how to progress the site forward, please speak up! Your thoughts are always encouraged and welcomed. Don’t be afraid to speak your mind via the comment section, email, or any other means of contact. We want you to feel comfortable contributing to our “casual” way in which we discuss film as well.
I am a current and active member of the Internet Film Critic Society as well as the Washington, D.C. Area Film Critics Association, indicating that all reviews and other articles provide well-crafted opinions and a sense of professionalism that ensures that you are getting quality film criticism every step of the way. If you don’t feel that this is the case, refer to my spiel above!

Grading
As of November 1st, 2019, MovieBabble has discontinued adding grades to reviews of films so that the focus of each piece is on the writing from our wonderful writers. In the end, grades of films are always a bit arbitrary and can fluctuate over time, and this is part of our attempt to create a good source of film criticism that can last for years.
