The press leading up to Captain Marvel‘s release last weekend wasn’t all positive. (The last thing I want to hear right now is more about Rotten Tomatoes user scores.) But all those negative tidbits in the Twittersphere and beyond were almost immediately squashed when the film opened this weekend to over $455 million worldwide. Disney is once again looking forward to their Monday morning delivery of cold cash to their front doorstep.
