‘F9’ Fuels the Post-Pandemic Box Office, ‘Luca’ Delights, and ‘Candyman’ (1992)

The tenth installment in the Fast and Furious franchise roared onto the scene this weekend with a pandemic high of $70 million. The shark may have been jumped, but the franchise is giving the box office the jolt it’s needed to get the summer movie season rolling. Brennan and I discuss reactions to the film and the craziness of the franchise as a whole. We also share some thoughts and warm fuzzies over Luca, Pixar’s latest delightful adventure.

For this week’s Babble Movie Club, Brennan selected 1992’s Candyman. We dissect the original in anticipation of Nia Dacosta’s reboot/sequel.
