Fantasia Film Festival 2020 Wrap-Up!

by Nick Kush

One of the few silver linings of the COVID-19 pandemic is the increased flexibility in covering film festivals all over the globe, which gave MovieBabble the wonderful opportunity to cover the Fantasia Film Festival for the last two weeks. While (in a perfect, far less contaminated world) the ideal scenario would be for everyone to have the chance to see Fantasia’s slate of films in person, there were still plenty of great, noteworthy, and downright strange films that deserve recognition.

In this episode of The MovieBabble Podcast, Sean and I share the films we saw as part of our Fantasia 2020 coverage, broken down into a few categories:

  • The Worst Film(s)
  • The Genre-iest Film(s) (the wildest films that best encapsulate the spirit of the festival)
  • Documentary Spotlight
  • The Best Film(s)
  • Odds and Ends
