The streaming wars are in full swing as Disney and Apple prepare for the release of their own streaming services this fall. As such, each service is seemingly fighting for their lives, pulling in stars of all kinds to create interesting projects that are sure to get press from websites such as this one. And while the focus has been predominantly on Netflix as they have taken an antagonistic approach with Disney, Amazon is the sneaking giant of it all, pushing out fascinating, inventive works like Guava Island.

On Guava Island, a local musician (Glover) is determined to throw a festival for everyone to enjoy.

This is a great film to review. I personally found the movie uniquely interesting, but slow at some points. It was very short and I feel like Rihanna’s character could have been explores and developed more if it was a bit longer :D
