‘Joker’ Continues to Soar, ‘The Addams Family’ Scares Up a Profit, and ‘Gemini Man’ Flounders Against its Massive Budget

It’s another stellar weekend at the box office for Joker as it continues to open overseas and rake in profits. The latest DC film has Justice League’s worldwide gross well within its sights. It’s followed by The Addams Family (*snap*, *snap*) in their animated reboot, which is making a nice profit for United Artists Releasing. In third place at the box office is Gemini Man, which is feeling the weight of its $138 million dollar budget. The top five is rounded out by Abominable and Downton Abbey. 

However, its a busy weekend at the box office even outside of the top five. While Jexi flops outright, Parasite makes its U.S. debut to critical and commercial success. This weekend also saw the limited box office releases of El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie and Little Monsters as well as their streaming debuts.
