‘Fire (Pozar)’ by David Lynch

by The MovieBabble Staff

Fire, given by a mysterious figure, creates a hole in the world through which something terrible enters and leaves the world burned and overrun by strange insect figures.

Nick Kush: David Lynch may never make another feature film, but as long as he stays in the public consciousness somehow, that’s fine by me. Fire (Pozar) marks the second short Lynch has released this year after What Did Jack Do? dropped on Netflix in January, and it’s another experience that is 100% Lynch. You’ll probably leave Fire (Pozar) scratching your head at the creepy, hand-drawn images, but that’s part of what makes David Lynch so great. For the most part, every time you watch one of his works, you get an unfiltered look into his mind.

FYI, “požar” is a Slovene word for “fire” or more precisely for a big burning event like a house/forest fire. Because we have another word just for fire – “ogenj”.

That’s a great note! I’m sure that’ll help people dissect the film. Thanks for that! 🙂
