80’s Movies March Madness: Round 1 — Vote for Your Favorite 80’s Movies!

by Trey Davis

March is a great month with solid movies, spring break, and even the NCAA March Madness tournament.  With the release of Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One this month, MovieBabble is creating a bracket of the best (or most popular) 80’s movies!

The concept is simple: There are sixteen movies, and sets of two are pitted against each other. You vote on which movies you want to stay. In round two, the movies left from round one challenge each other, and the process repeats until one movie is left as the best 80’s movie.

With the help of IMDb’s ratings to find the top 16 populist films of the 80’s (i.e. 80’s that are beloved by people everywhere), each of the films listed here are ranked from 1 to 16, but you get to have the final say on what is the true #1 80’s movie.

You can vote according to whatever merits you prefer, whether something is your favorite film or just purely the better film in your mind.

The voting deadline is Mach 15th, 2018 at 11:59 E.T.  All votes counted afterwards will not count.  At that point we’ll move onto Round 2!
