You’ve had this feeling before: you’re sitting in the theater with what is by all accounts a pretty fantastic movie playing on the screen in front of you; you’re invested to the nth degree, waiting for that last shoe to drop as the film races towards its third act, and that’s where the magic happens. You’re taken aback by the ingenuity of a final sequence, how it tidies everything up in an emotionally resonant way — or does the exact opposite, leading to you fall into a mental spiral of what you just saw. The best movie endings are, well, the best. They take you on such an amazing journey. It’s a feeling that few things in the world can replicate.

The current decade has been no stranger to these so-great-you-just-had-to-be-there moments, even though it’s not even over!

Very good list. Have to agree with almost all of them. I do have to say that the ending of Ex Machina should be on here as well. Did not see that ending coming!
